The Vision Statement of X Caliber Productions is to work with unwavering integrity, showing our customers the best in each of us, to represent and support the best in every one of them.
Company Bio
X Caliber Productions LLC was founded on March 13, 2018, by Quentin Peach, Jr. He started learning how to record and edit sounds in his dorm room at New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in 2010. Upon leaving Quentin went on to receive an undergraduate degree in Audio Production from Full Sail University. For a long time, Quentin recorded under the name GooffBall Productions. However, some years later he decided X Caliber Productions, a play on King Arthur’s famous Excalibur, would better suit the company.

As King Arthur began his reign everything in his realm was smooth sailing! However, as the years past the people of the land started growing wary and uneasy. To liven up his kingdom the King ordered a succession of music for the people of the lands! The order reads as follows:
"By order of the dudes at the Awesome establishment of X Caliber Productions, Ye will be graced with a new song every Third Thursday of the year MMXIX (aka 2019). To help quench thy thirst for fiery fresh toons, watch for the monthly jams dubbed '3rd Thursdays'."

The coming of 3rd Thursday 2.0!
The end of 3rd Thursdays approached and the King knew a decision had to be made. After a year of joyful cheer from the people, he quickly summoned his finest Knights ones of wit and percipience. As their council concluded a solution was agreed upon by all. The King was to announce the beginning of 3rd Thursday 2.0! The 2nd succession of music for the people of the lands! The order reads as follows

The Creation of Theseus
Theseus is a fun and witty song full of mythology and metaphors by the artist Peachy Q (Quentin Peach), and produced by X Caliber Productions. It is an array of different things we can do here at X Caliber Productions blended into a 3 minute song. From foley sounds, to composing beats, and production (pre and post).
Foley Sounds:
As the song starts the sounds create an outdoor space with a person walking around. Using a few things we had around the studio and two Zoom H5s we created Jeff. (Photo Below) Jeff helped us record two sets of audio, a left side and a right side. After taking these two clips and matching them up we created a binaural sound. Mostly of birds chirping but, also of some foot steps and sticks braking. The beginning of the song also features four additional tracks recorded on a Zoom H5 and they include:

I (Quentin Peach) composed the beat myself two years ago. It was not a finished piece until recently when I decided to release it as our latest 3rd Thursday song. Upon finishing the lyrics I went back into the beat and created a little darker sound from (0:46 to 1:08) and again at (2:13 to 2:35). I was able to create this transition by changing the melody from an organ to a harp, the bass from a powerful saw to a deep sub with a soft ring to it, and throwing different EQs on my percussion sections. Once I finished that I added in my foley sounds and proceeded to mix together my reborn beat.

Production:
Upon completion of the beat we recorded the lyrics this includes main, backing, and extra vocal sound effects. After we finally got all the audio recorded we began mixing the song. Blending and editing sounds to smooth out the song before the final step. Lastly, once all other editing was done we mastered the track and produced the final copy of our song Theseus.
Reflection:
Let me start by clarifying, we did not create this song to showcase any of the mentioned things above. However, as we were trying to find a good song with examples of our services provided this one stuck out. With the beginning as a recreation of walking through the woods, to composing the beat, and the mixing and mastering of the final track. As we provide many services its hard to showcase them all in one track, but it feels as if this track came close to hitting the nail on the head.
